Bishop LeBlond and Hamilton (Penney) got the advancement to sectionals, courtesy of the Golden Eagles winning score of 314 and the Hornets runner-up tally of 316. Top two TEAM finishes automatically advance all five members of a team into sectional play. Maryville finished fifth in the team standings with a score of 328, followed by Richmond, Brookfield (349 for 7th), Lathrop, Plattsburg, and Carrollton.

District champion individual honors go to Lawson's Tanner Smith, who shot a two-under par score of 70. Maryville's Hunter Hayes and Richmond's Phillip Kincaid tied for second-place at even par 72. Trenton's Chase Tolson had a strong day, finishing fourth individually, at one-over par 73. Hamilton's Shawn Cook had the top score for the Hornets, finishing fifth at 74, with Trenton's Lane Beverlin sixth at 75 (tied with Sam Schanze of Bishop LeBlond). Individually scores at 87 or lower marked the cut-off line to advance to sectional competition.

Area golfers also advancing were Hamilton's Hunter Cornelius (76), Hamilton's Wyatt Gregory (77), Brookfield's Zach Bragg (79), Trenton's Cree Mullenix (82), and Brookfield's Matt Jackman (85). Advancing with the Hamilton team will be Ian Orr (89) and Trey Lund (91). Trenton's Nate Swann just missed the cut-off line, shooting a 17-over par round of 89. THS freshman Corbyn Guile finished at 94, 22 strokes over par.

Class 2, Sectional 4 will be hosted by the par-71 Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond on Monday, May 12th at 9 o'clock in the morning.
