The event is called “The Buzzard Run” in memory of the late Larry Buzzard of Trenton, who died in January 2012. Events are being organized by his son, Gabe Buzzard, and others for Saturday June 7th.

Registration for motorcycles, including fees for riders and passengers, is from 11 o'clock until 12:30 at the Trenton Elks Lodge. The poker run begins at 1 o'clock.

Stops along the way are at the Chula Bar; Pour Boys Gas Station in Chillicothe; Casey's
General Store in Hamilton; Southside Bar in Gallatin; and ending at the Elks Lodge in
Trenton.

The drawing for cards is at 5:30. First prize for the poker run is a 51 inch Samsung Plasma T-V; Second prize is a 32 inch Toshiba L-E-D TV. Andy Madden will cater the barbecue starting at 6 o'clock. The band, Bridges Burnt, will play upstairs at the Elks Lodge from 9 o'clock until 1 in the morning. Free taxi rides also are available for persons within ten miles of the Elks Lodge that night. For those who don't ride in the motorcycle run, persons may purchase the barbecue dinner and enjoy the music.

T-shirts commemorating the Larry Buzzard Memorial Run also are to be sold throughout the day.

Last year, in a first-time event with over 50 bikes making the trip, Gabe Buzzard reported 28 hundred dollars was raised. He noted three I-pads were purchased for use in Trenton R-9 special education classrooms. The goal this year, according to Gabe Buzzard, is to raise five thousand dollars at the June 7th events.
