Sports : THS Bulldogs Battle LeBlond, Maryville at RCC

On a windy cool Thursday afternoon, three schools converged on Riverside Country Club in Trenton for triangular golf action. Bishop LeBlond ended up with the top team score of the day, at 159.

Trenton High School senior Chase Tolson tied LeBlond's Sam Schanze and Maryville's Dustin Wolters for medalist honors, all three shooting 38 on the nine-hole course. LeBlond's Grant Boudreau shot 39, Riley Burns of LeBlond 41, and Jack Robertson of LeBlond 41. For the host Bulldogs, Cree Mullenix shot 43, Lane Beverlin 44, Nate Swann 44, and Corbyn Guile 47. Spoofhound scores, in addition to Wolters' 38, were Logan Zimmerman at 43, Hunter Hayes 45, and Bryce Farlin at 47.

Trenton's final TEAM score was 170, with Maryville coming home with a score of 173.

Among the Trenton junior varsity results, Nick Gass shot 46, Tucker Franklin 53, and Cade Darting 61. The Trenton JV did not get a TEAM score.
