The street and general funds are estimated to be in the red by nearly $142,000. However, that figure drops to about $35,000 when transferring sales tax money, interest, and rental fees for crop ground at the former airport. Money also is being transferred from a $54,000 fund formerly used to help replace trash trucks. The trash truck fund no longer is needed since the City no longer operates the trash collection service at Princeton.

Princeton is estimated to have around $840,000 in reserves at the end of the fiscal year.

The Princeton City Council also voted to give City employees a 4% pay increase.
