Sports : Green City Gophers Sweep Milan Relays

The new track at Cal Hubbard Field in Milan saw action on Wednesday afternoon, with the Wildcats hosting the Milan Track and Field Relays. The Green City Gophers had a great day, winning three of the four team titles.

The junior high meets were won by the Scotland County girls and Green City boys, with the Lady Tigers racking up 117 points, and the Gophers 126 1/2. The Green City junior high girls were second (97 points) and the Bevier Lady Wildcats third (75 points). Milan had 56 points from its junior high girls squad.

Finishing behind the Green City junior high boys in the team standings were the Scotland County Tigers (second with 82 points) and the Novinger Wildcats (third with 80 points). Milan's junior high boys finished with 61 points on the afternoon.
