Sports : CHS Hornets Sweep Team Titles At Joe Shy

Chillicothe High School hosted the annual Joe Shy Relays on Friday afternoon, with the host Hornets claiming both team victories. The Chillicothe boys scored 117 points, with the Lady Hornets amassing 133.

BOYS:
100 Meter Dash: Dominick Fleeks, Stewartsville
200 Meter Dash: Dominick Fleeks, Stewartsville
400 Meter Dash: Dominick Fleeks, Stewartsville
800 Meter Run: Zach Glassmaker, Marshall
1600 Meter Run: Charlie Hoffman, Trenton (4:49.78)
3200 Meter Run: Ben Sporleder, Marshall
110 Hurdles: Austen Eskew, Lawson
300 Hurdles: Austen Eskew, Lawson
4 by 100 Relay: Maryville
4 by 200 Relay: Maryville
4 by 400 Relay: Trenton (3:37.94)
4 by 800 Relay: Richmond
High Jump: Jesse Miller, Chillicothe
Pole Vault: Matt Shaffer, Chillicothe

Long Jump: Dakota Pummell, SJ Lafayette
Triple Jump: Jesse Miller, Chillicothe
Shot Put: Jackson Morrison, Maryville
Discus: Tommy Fish, Cameron

Individual Trenton results included Trent Crawford in 4th place in the 3200 run, the 4 by 200 relay team in 3rd place, and the 4 by 800 relay team in 2nd place (15.05 seconds behind Richmond). Princeton's Brant Faulkner was second in the high jump.

The Trenton boys finished with 64 points (4th place), behind Maryville's 85 (3rd) and Lawson's 92 1/2 (2nd).

300 Hurdles: McKenzie Wallace, Maryville
4 by 100 Relay: Chillicothe
4 by 200 Relay: Lawson
4 by 400 Relay: Hamilton
4 by 800 Relay: Chillicothe

High Jump: Dominique Wiedmaier, Maryville
Pole Vault: Alesa Frey, Brookfield
Long Jump: Isis Baker, Chillicothe
Triple Jump: Lexi Snyder, Chillicothe
Shot Put: Paige Peters, Chillicothe

Discus: Nicole Wilson, Maryville

For Trenton, Ally Ockenfels finished second to Peters in the shot put. Ayron Osborn was second to Snyder in the triple jump. Tenna Roberts was third in the 400 meter dash.

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs finished with 40 points, good for 8th place. From 2nd to 7th place, teams were Lawson (97), Maryville (80), Richmond (73), Brookfield (62), Hamilton (52), and LeBlond (40 1/2).
