The driver, 18 year old Charles Uthe of Winston, and passengers, 12 year old Samuel Uthe of Winston and 12 year old Kyler Trimble from Altamont, were taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The patrol said all three persons had minor injuries.

The accident was on 140th Street, just east of Winston. The patrol said the pickup began to slide as it came out of a curve, ran off the right side of the road, went down an embankment, and hit several trees.

The SUV was extensively damaged.

Two passengers were using safety devices, but the driver, Charles Uthe, was not wearing a seatbelt.
