Sports : TMS Track Opens Season At Cameron

The Trenton Middle School boys found success on both the track and field at the Cameron Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

Among 7th Grade results, Trey Webb won the shot put (29'7"), and finished runner-up in the 100 meter dash. Webb was third in the 200 meter dash. TMS had a runner-up finish from the 4 by 100 meter relay team of Hayden Griffin, Matthew Sibbit, Anakin Burkeybile, and Trey Webb, with the team of Isaah Harris, Nick Shields, Burkeybile, and Griffin finishing third in the 4 by 400 meter relay.

In 8th Grade results, Colton Colston won the high jump at 4'10". Kylen Wilkinson was runner-up in the shot put, and third place in the 400 meter dash. The team of Tanner Franklin, Colton Colston, Cameron Murray, and Chase Marsh finished in 3rd place in the 4 by 100 relay. James Knight and Trevor Johnson joined Wilkinson (opening leg) and Colston (second leg) in winning the 4 by 200 relay, with a time of 1:48.96. Knight, Colston, Cole Schilling, and Wilkinson won second place in the 4 by 400 relay.

Head Coach Brandon Boswell said, "I thought our kids competed well. I was pleased with their effort. It was good for them to compete against kids from bigger schools and experience success". The Bulldogs will travel to Higginsville next Friday (April 11th).
