News : Trenton High School Band Does Well At Competition

The Trenton High School Instrumental Music Department had 11 solos and 1 flute trio receive top ratings of I during Saturday's District Evaluations at St. Joseph.

Alvynne Villacampa earned a I for flute and marimba solos.

Other ratings of I went to Maddie Barone, Franny Infranca, Katie Klasse, and Katherine Warner on flute; tuba player Geoseph Husong, Denver Bennett on timpani, baritone saxophonist Jacob Davis, alto saxophonist Melanie Rodriguez; and Andrew Pauley on marimba.

The flute trio of Maddie Barone, Franny Infranca, and Alvynne Villacampa also earned a top rating of I.

I ratings qualify for state judging.

Trenton Instrumental students receiving a rating of II in the District Evaluations for their solos were Ashley Allen, Jose Barron, Taylor Boman, Tomi Delp, Kaitlin Feagins,
Jasmyn French, Ellis Gilham, Elizabeth Leeper, Jacob Marlay, Katie McKibben, Caitlin McNabb, and Kellie Smith.

Ellis Gilham had solos on 3 instruments that received II.

A clarinet trio and a low brass trio from Trenton also received ratings of II at the District Music Evaluations.

Ann Mayfield and Sara Pauley were accompanists for the band solos.
