News : North Central Missouri Mental Health Center To Hold Parenting Classes

North Central Missouri Mental Health Center at Trenton is offering free parenting classes in April and early May.

Participants may pick the topics best suited to their needs. 5 of the 6 classes are on Wednesday afternoons from 3 until 5 o'clock. The other course is on Thursday afternoons, also from 3 until 5 o'clock.

The topics are Parenting 101/Preventing Problem Behavior on April 2nd, Handle Misbehavior/Focus on Children ages 5 to 10 on April 9th, Your Children Can Succeed in School April 16th, Building Relationships in a Blended Family April 24th, Decision Making/Focus on Teenagers April 30th, and Where's the Manual?/Infants and Toddlers May 7th.

Each class includes power point, a video, handouts, and discussion. They'll be given in basement of the North Central Missouri Mental Health Center at 28th street and Oklahoma Avenue at Trenton. Persons should use the back entrance.

Registration is by contacting North Central Missouri Mental Health Center at Trenton to leave their name, address, and telephone number. Messages can be left for Laurel.
