In Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court, 31 year old Marc Gardner of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 of Circuit Court on charges accusing him with possession of the controlled substance methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to introduce methamphetamine into the human body, and tampering with physical evidence, all on February 16th.

In the tampering with physical evidence charge, Gardner is accused of concealing syringes containing residue of a controlled substance and flushing controlled substances down a toilet to impair a Trenton Police Department investigation.

The charges describe Gardner as a prior and persistent offender by pleading guilty in 2005 to 1st degree property damage and pleading guilty in 2006 to burglary---both in Grundy County.

35 year old Carrie McClain of Trenton also faces those same charges of possessing methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence on February 16th. The charges also say Ms. McClain is a prior and persistent offender by pleading guilty in 2006 to distribution of a controlled substance and pleading guilty in 2008 to possession of a controlled substance---both in Grundy County.

A preliminary hearing was held on those charges in Grundy County Associate Circuit Court. Ms. McClain was bound over to Division 1 of Circuit Court on the charges accusing her with possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. Judge Steve Hudson has taken under advisement, for 10 days, the charge accusing Ms. McClain with possessing methamphetamines. The advisement period allows attorneys to provide more information.

In other cases in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court, 45 year old Donna Ziegler of Independence waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 of Circuit Court. Ms. Zeigler is charged with stealing a bank debit card owned by Patricia Latham on March 12th and using it to make several purchases.

35 year old Ronald Gibson of Spickard waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 on a charge accusing him with 2nd degree burglary. Gibson was accused of unlawfully entering a building at 408 west 7th Street at Trenton last November for the purpose of committing assault.

35 year old Sasha Thomas of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1of Circuit Court on a charge accusing her with possession of the controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to distribute it---and 1st degree endangering the welfare of a child by possessing a controlled substance at the residence of a 7 year old child---both on March 6th.
