The game was broadcast by Tom Johnson on KTTN. Meadville boys now advance to the state championship basketball game Saturday versus perennial power house Scott County Central of southeast Missouri Tom Johnson will be back at court side Saturday to call the title game
scheduled for 12:50 pm.

Macks Creek led 24 to 21 at half time; the game was tied at 32 heading into the fourth quarter which saw Meadville “take charge” and score 18 points to eventually win by nine. In Thursday’s game, Meadville had 3 players score in double figures: Dalton Palmer and Blake Burkholder each with 12 and Kolton Freezner with 11. Meadville boys season record is 25 and 3. Scott County also has 25 wins against 5 losses this season.

Scott County Central defeated Stanberry 69 to 63 in the other class one boys semi final Thursday. It will be Stanberry and Macks Creek in the third place game today at Columbia at 12:45.

We won’t know which FM station the Meadville and Scott County Central game will be until after Mizzou plays today in the S-E-C tournament. Mizzou, in the game heard at mid-day Thursday on
KTTN, defeated Texas A and M 91 to 83 but it took two overtimes.

The win advances Mizzou into the next round to take on number one ranked Florida today. KTTN is contractually required to the MU Tigers network and today, like yesterday, will have pre-game at 11:30 with the tip off at 12 noon. As a result, there’s no mid-day programming and no trading post today on KTTN. Our afternoon local news will still begin at 4:15 and 5:15.

Back to the Meadville broadcast on Saturday at 12:50 from Columbia,

IF Mizzou wins today, Meadville’s game will be moved to KGOZ 101.7 FM. IF Mizzou loses today, the tigers S-E-C tournament play is done and the Meadville basketball game remains on KTTN F-M 92.3
