Update: : Traffic Accident Near Jameson Now Includes 4 Injuries

The highway patrol is now reporting four persons, including two children, were injured early yesterday morning in the traffic accident near Jameson.

And, the extent of the injuries for one passenger has changed.

The state patrol is describing injuries as serious for 28 year old Elizabeth Hogan of Jameson who was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center; later transferred to North Kansas City Hospital.

Her children, nine year old Gabriel Loucks and four year old Mary Jane Rice received what the patrol called minor injuries. Both children were taken to Cameron's Hospital with the youngest transferred to Children's Mercy Hospital in
Kansas City. Driver of the car, 24 year old James Wilson of Bethany sustained what the patrol called moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital in Cameron.

Only the two children were listed as using safety devices.

The accident at 12:45 Sunday morning occurred when the driver apparently lost control on the gravel road. The car traveled off Jordan Avenue, struck an embankment, overturning onto the passenger side. The car was demolished.
