News : Snow Ordinance To Go Into Effect, Sidewalk Ordinance To Be Enforced

The Trenton Police Department is reminding everyone that they should remove the snow from the sidewalks in front of their residence or business.

As per the sidewalk code in place within the city of Trenton. It states that the owner and occupant of any lot or tract within the city shall be mutually responsible and obligated to keep gutters and sidewalks in front of such lot or tract clear of mud, dirt, snow, ice, trash and other objects.

The Trenton police department will be enforcing this ordinance at the conclusion of the snowfall.

In addition, the Trenton Street Department will be placing the snow ordinance into effect from Sunday, March 2, at 11 pm, through Monday, March 3rd at 7 in the morning.

The Trenton Street Department is also asking residents to remove vehicles from those streets and as to make it easier for the street department to remove snow.
