Trenton will be the site this spring for a public meeting aimed at promoting community betterment on a regional basis.
Green Hills Regional Planning Commission will host the meeting on April 23rd at the First Christian Church in Trenton.
It's from 9:30 to 3 o'clock and includes several presentations. The cost is twelve dollars which includes lunch.
Among the speakers is Jan Simon with a review of guidelines of the Missouri community betterment educational fund incorporated. Trenton Police Chief Tommy Wright is to discuss emergency preparedness. Green Hills Planning Commission Executive Director Randy Railsback will have a presentation about the multi-county organization. Another speaker, discussing grants, will be Neil Miller of the U-S department of agriculture rural development.
Also on the agenda for the April 23rd community development meeting in Trenton is Mary Hende, chief executive officer of the Northwest Community Foundation which includes 18 northwest Missouri counties. Annette Weeks, representing the
non-profit Northwest Missouri Enterprise Facilitation is to discuss nurturing small businesses in a community.
