Sports : Milan Swept in Tri-Rivers Doubleheader At Scotland County

The Milan Wildcats traveled to Memphis on Wednesday night, for a pair of make-up Tri-Rivers Conference basketball games against the Scotland County Tigers.

The Lady 'Cats, for the second straight night, battled hard but came up short, falling to the Lady Tigers 49-45. Calesse Bair led Scotland County with 14 points. Chelsea Wood added 12.

The boys game saw Scotland County dominate, clinching a share of the Tri-Rivers title with a 67-28 win over the visiting Wildcats. Bailey Johnston paced the Tiger attack with a double-double (18 points and 10 rebounds), Lucas Howard had 13 and Cordie Kigar 12. The Tigers are now 8-1 in conference play.

Milan finishes the regular season on Friday night at North Shelby High School (Shelbyville, MO). Next week, both Milan and Scotland County will be in the Class 2, District 6 basketball tournament, hosted by Schuyler County High School in Queen City.

#2 Marceline girls vs. Milan at 4:30 PM (on Hot Country Z 101.7)
#3 Knox County boys vs. Marceline at 5:45 PM
#4 Scotland County girls vs. Schuyler County at 7:00 PM
#2 Scotland County boys vs. Milan at 8:15 PM (on Hot Country Z 101.7)
