In a game heard locally on KTTN FM 92.3, Clarkson drained all 11 of his free-throw tries and added five assists and five rebounds for Missouri (19-7, 7-6 SEC), winners of three straight. Earnest Ross shot 4-of-8 from 3-point range on his way to 16 points. Jabari Brown scored 10 points but was just 3-of-11 from the field.

For Vanderbilt (14-11, 6-7), which has lost three of four, Damian Jones poured in 19 points, James Siakam and Rod Odom netted 13 and 10 points, respectively, and Kyle Fuller dished out nine assists.

In a sluggish first half, both teams shot an identical 33.3 percent from the field. Jones drilled a jumper at the halftime buzzer to give Vanderbilt a 21-20 lead at the break.

The teams continued to battle back and forth in the second stanza until, trailing by three with under six minutes to play, Missouri took control with a 13-2 run and never relinquished the lead from that point forward.

In a game that consisted of 11 ties and 11 lead changes, Missouri earned a 17-10 scoring advantage at the free-throw line. The Tigers also shot 8-of-18 from beyond the arc.
