In a recent session of Division One, Grundy County Circuit Court, a large number of cases were heard.

37 year old Scott Peterie of Leisure Lake admitted violating his probation. The probation was revoked, and Peterie must serve a 5 year prison sentence that previously was stayed.

38-year old Gregory Armstrong of Richmond admitted violating his probation. The probation was revoked and Armstrong must serve a 4 year prison sentence. It's to run concurrently with a Ray County sentence.

37 year old Angielee Byron of Trenton admitted violating her probation. The probation was revoked and Ms. Byron was sentenced to 3 years in prison. She's to be placed in a
institutional treatment program. Judge Jack Peace retains jurisdiction for 120 days.

33 year old Heather McPherson of Trenton admitted violating her probation. The probation was revoked and Ms. McPherson was sentenced to 4 years in prison. However, Judge Peace suspended execution of the sentence and put Ms. McPherson back on probation for 5 years. She's been on probation on a charge accusing her with non-support. She's required to make current and past due payments.

34 year old Jeffrey Matthews of Trenton admitted violating his probation. The probation was continued with the added condition of completing a court ordered detention sanction program through the Missouri Department of Corrections. That's a 120 day program in which staff of the Division of Offender Rehabilitation Services determines the program.

27 year old Ashley Baker of Trenton admitted violating 2 probations. They were continued with the added condition of completing a court ordered detention sanction
program through the Department or Corrections.

25 year old Lesley Honn of rural Princeton admitted violating her probation. The probation was continued with the added condition she complete a court ordered detention sanction program through the Department of Corrections.

23 year old Sharmyn Ceradsky admitted violating he probation. The probation was continued.

29 year old Alicia Birkhead of Trenton pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor stealing. Ms. Birkhead was sentenced to 9 days in the county jail, but given credit for time served at her expense. She also was fined $250 and ordered to make $100 restitution. The charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. She was accused of taking a vehicle owned by Wayne Wheelbarger in march of 2012.

45 year old Alicia Grimes of Trenton pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor 3rd degree domestic assault in February of last year. Imposition of a sentence was suspended and Ms. Grimes was put on probation 2 years. She's required to pay $300 to a special fund. She's also required to be supervised by a private probation firm at her expense. The charge was reduced from felony 2nd degree domestic assault to misdemeanor 3rd degree domestic assault.

26 year old Amanda Hampton of Galt pleaded guilty to passing bad checks. Imposition of a sentence was suspended and Ms. Hampton was put on 5 years probation. She's required to complete a drug court program and pay $515 restitution.

53 year old Martin McKay of Trenton pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in December. Execution of a sentence was stayed and McKay was put on probation for 5 years. He's required to complete a treatment program. He also was given 30 days custody but credited with time served at his expense. The charge noted McKay has 2 prior convictions in Grundy County in 2004 and 1992. Another charge against McKay was dismissed by the prosecution. It had accused McKay with having a vehicle in the middle of a road, running in gear, and a foot on the brake---on the same date in December as the DWI charge.

34 year old Jeremy Sharp of Laredo withdrew prior pleas and pleaded guilty to 2 charges accusing non support of children. Imposition of a sentence was suspended and Sharp was put on 5 years probation. Sharp is required to pay current and past-due support for 4 children.

30 year old Jeffrey Brown of Trenton withdrew a prior plea and pleaded guilty to non-support of 2 children. Imposition of a sentence was suspended and Brown was put on
probation for 5 years. He's required to pay current and past due child support. The plea averted a jury trial scheduled March 6th.

A 1 day jury trial is scheduled for 26 year old Jacob Terry of Jamesport on a charge accusing non-support of a child. The trial is May 2nd.

37 year old Jacky Kennedy of Trenton pleaded guilty to attempted manufacture of a controlled substance by having items needed to produce methamphetamine----and possession of medical syringes and 2 pipes with intent to introduce methamphetamine into the body---all on January 25th. Sentencing is March 13th in Division 1 of Grundy County Circuit Court.
19 year old Casey Welch of Galt pleaded guilty to receiving and retaining a handgun knowing or believing it to be stolen. Welch also pleaded guilty to misdemeanor possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, possession of a pipe with intent to use it to introduce a controlled substance into the body, and failure to display valid tags. Sentencing is April 17th.

20 year old Jack Gathercole of Trenton pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and operating a vehicle owned by another person knowing the owner had not maintained financial responsibility---both last December 12th. Sentencing is April 17th on the methamphetamine possession charge. Gathercole received 60 days in the county jail at his expense on the charge of operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. He was given credit for time served. A charge accusing Gathercole with failure to display valid plates on a vehicle was dismissed by the prosecution.

34 year old Nathan Vandevender of rural Trenton pleaded guilty to possessing the controlled substance ambien last December 24th. Sentencing is April 17th.

A charge accusing 35 year old Heather Marshall of Trenton with possessing ambien December 24th was dismissed by the prosecution.
