Sports : Late Basket Pushes Mizzou Over Arkansas

Columbia, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Clarkson notched a game-high 27 points as the Missouri Tigers edged out the Arkansas Razorbacks 86-85 in SEC action at Mizzou Arena.

Earnest Ross logged a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers (17-7, 5-6 SEC), who bounced back from a three-game losing streak. Jabari Brown netted 25 points including the eventual game-winning shot.

Rashad Madden tallied 17 points to lead the Razorbacks (15-9, 4-7), who fell after wins in their previous two games. Alandise Harris (16 points), Bobby Portis (15), Coty Clarke (12) and Michael Qualls (10) all reached double figures in the defeat.

The Razorbacks shot 40.6 percent from the field in the first half. The Tigers, however, eclipsed them at 48.3 percent and also sank a perfect 19-of-19 at the free-throw line to go up 48-42 at the half.

In the second half, the Razorbacks improved to 44.8 percent from the floor, while the Tigers dipped to 38.5 percent. Down by one with, with 11 seconds to play, Brown hit a jumper which put the Tigers back on top and turned out to be the game-winner.

Both teams scored 36 of their points in the paint in a closely contested clash with 11 lead changes.
