Nicole Kost led Mercer with 15 points, with Bailey Owens scoring 14. For Meadville, Haley Fitzpatrick contributed 16 points. Mercer is now 18-1 on the season, going into Monday night's HDC Conference game at Winston.

The Meadville boys were on their game in Saturday's championship, as the Eagles outside shooting wizardry proved to be too much for Grundy R-5 to handle, with Meadville rolling to a 70-39 win. Dalton Palmer had 19 points, T.J. Schmitz 17, and Cade Shiflett 14 for the Eagles. Destin Gann had 13 points for the Panthers, who finished runner-up at two tournaments thus far in 2014.

The boys third place game went to Tina-Avalon, 51-48 over Bucklin/Macon County. Max Sinclair had 16 points and Dylan Rucker 13 for T-A, with Dillan Nolte scoring 23 points for B/MC.
