Sports : Missouri Grabs SEC Road Win At Arkansas

(SportsNetwork.com) - From Fayetteville, AR - Jabari Brown and Earnest Ross each netted 24 points as the Missouri Tigers escaped Fayetteville with a 75-71 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks in Southeastern Conference action at Bud Walton Arena.

Both Brown and Ross connected on all eight of their free-throw attempts in the game. Ross grabbed six rebounds in the win for Missouri (16-4, 4-3 SEC). Jordan Clarkson scored 11 points and dished out six assists in the win. Missouri has won three of its last four contests.

Rashad Madden netted 20 points on 5-of-15 shooting for Arkansas (13-7, 2-5). Bobby Portis chipped in 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds in the loss. The Razorbacks have lost three of their last four games.

Missouri was hot in the first half, connecting on 50 percent of its shots from the floor. The Tigers took a 36-34 lead into halftime. Arkansas shot just 37 percent from the field in the first period, but hit eight 3-point field goals.

The Tigers' shooting percentage dropped to 37.5 in the second frame, while Arkansas' improved to 40.6 percent. Missouri outscored Arkansas from the free- throw line in the half, 16-7, though.

Missouri won the battle on the boards by outrebounding the Razorbacks, 42-26, and had the edge from the free-throw line in the game, 22-13. The Tigers turned the ball over 19 times in the win, heard Tuesday night on KTTN FM 92.3.
