Catcher Madi Trump signed with North Central Missouri College and Head Coach Megan Cairns to play softball with the Lady Pirates in 2015 and 2016. Trump, in her senior season with the Lady Bulldogs, hit .450 with two home runs and 23 RBI's, leading the Lady Bulldogs to a 15-5 record and a Class 3, District 15 runner-up finish. She earned 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-Region honors. Madi is the daughter of Tom and Benna Trump of Trenton.

Head Lady Pirates Coach Megan Cairns looks for Trump to add greatly to the team, saying “I have been interested in Madi since I saw her play for Trenton as a junior. She has a tremendous presence as a catcher, a solid understanding of calling a game, and is nearly flawless on catching fundamentals. I fully expect her to be our everyday catcher. Madi is also going to be a great addition to our batting lineup. She always finds a way to get on base, whether that be by a hit, walk, hit by pitch, or causing the defense to make a mistake. Madi will make an immediate impact for our team and I believe her skills will translate well into the collegiate level".

At Trenton High School, Madi’s honors include First Team All-District for three years, Second Team All-Region for two years, and St. Joseph News-Press Second Team.

She is a member of FFA, 4-H, FCA, National Honor Society, Key Club, and choir, and was named Student of the Quarter. At NCMC she will major in business management.

Central Methodist University has officially announced the signing of Trenton High School senior Cassidy Cotton to a national letter of intent. Cotton, at CMU, will play for former North Central Missouri College head coach James Arnold.

The 5'8" Cotton is averaging 10.4 points and 2.7 assists per game for the 13-5 Lady Bulldogs. Coach Arnold describes Cassidy as "another outside shooter and a well-rounded player".
