Sports : Marceline Sweeps Milan In Tuesday Night Double-Dip

The Marceline Tigers rallied from single-digit halftime deficits to win both ends of a basketball doubleheader played Tuesday night at Milan.

The Lady Tigers improved to 12-6 with a 58-46 win over the Lady 'Cats. Morgan McCormick scored 23 points and Elaine Ewigman 16 for Marceline. Milan, now 7-10 on the season, had 12 points from Kaylee Michael and 10 points from Emily Sylvester.

The Marceline boys won a low-scoring game against the Wildcats, 50-45. Daniel Corbin paced the Tigers with 14 points. Marceline is now 5-11 on the season. Milan had 23 points from Holden Stallbaumer and 11 points from Wyatt Bohle.

Tuesday night's games were broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com, with Tom Johnson handling the play-by-play call.
