Sports : Ladyhawks Move Into Gilman City Semifinals

The Gilman City Ladyhawks rolled past Union Star 53-23 on Tuesday night, in the quarterfinal round of the Gilman City Basketball Tournament.

The win moves Gilman City, the #3 seed in the tournament, into the semifinals, and a Thursday night meeting with North Harrison. The Lady Shamrocks, on Tuesday night, beat the Gallatin JV, 53-27. The Gallatin JV and Union Star meet at 6 o'clock Wednesday night in a consolation semifinal.

In boy's finals on Tuesday night, North Harrison beat Tri-County 64-44, and Union Star moved past the Gallatin JV, 43-28. The boy's consolation semifinals on Wednesday night will be Gilman City against Tri-County at 4:30 and Pattonsburg against the Gallatin JV at 7:30. The Tri-County girls play East Harrison at 9 o'clock.

Thursday's championship semifinals will be : Pattonsburg vs. Princeton girls at 4:30, Princeton boys vs. Union Star at 6:00, North Harrison girls vs. Gilman City at 7:30, East Harrison boys vs. North Harrison at 9:00. Both PRINCETON games (4:30 PM and 6:00 PM) will be broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3 and www.kttn.com.
