The Lady Pirates dropped the opener, 79-59, dropping to 2-1 in Region XVI play this season. Samone Redditt finished off a solid bounce-back week with 19 points, with Nancy Berwanger scoring 17 points. Redditt added eight rebounds and three assists.

The Pirate men were in solid position to spring the road upset, leading for the majority of the first 30 minutes of the contest (including a 45-40 halftime advantage), however the Archers overtook North Central with a strong surge over the final eight minutes of regulation, winning 87-71. Jory Woodson led NCMC with 23 points, with Xavier Newson adding 19, and Tyrell Thirkield and Tyler Peterson ten points each.

The Lady Pirates will HOST the William Penn JV on Thursday night at 5:30 at the Ketcham Community Center. Both NCMC teams travel to Kansas City on Saturday, to battle the Penn Valley Scouts. Both the women's game at 2 o'clock, and the men's game at 4 o'clock, will be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.
