Sports : Tigers, Wildcats Split Friday Night Doubleheader At MHS

The Milan Lady Wildcats picked up a home-court victory over the visiting Princeton Lady Tigers on Friday night, winning 52-48 in a game heard on KTTN FM 92.3 and www.kttn.com.

The win served as a bounceback for Milan, after a tough loss to rival Putnam County on Wednesday. Kaylee Michael led the Lady 'Cats with 17 points, with Kyley Doak adding 14, and Cheyenne Long 10. Princeton had 12 points from Rebecca Phillips, with Paige Phillips scoring 10.

The boys game went the play of the Tigers by a final score of 60-47. Princeton had balanced scoring in the game, with Brant Faulkner scoring 13 points, Stephan Elliott and Jordan Adams 11 each, and Hunter Boxley 10. Holden Stallbaumer scored 31 points for Milan, leading all scorers in the contest.

Milan will host Marceline on TUESDAY night, with coverage on Hot Country Z 101.7 of the 6 o'clock girls and 7:30 boys varsity contests.
