Sports : Trenton JV Boys Move To 9-0

The Trenton junior varsity boys basketball team won on both Wednesday and Thursday nights, improving their season record to a perfect 9-0.

On Wednesday night, the Trenton JV squads played in Jamesport against the Tri-County varsity teams. The Trenton boys took a 54-49 win, with Brice Dillon scoring 18 points, Spencer Harris 15, and Connor Cotton 15. The game went double overtime before the Bulldogs pulled out the "W". Dillon had 11 rebounds for Trenton, with Colton Ellis snaring seven boards to go with four points. Aaron Anderson had five steals in the win.

The Trenton JV girls were able to down the Lady Mustangs by a final score of 34-2-0. Lana Raymo led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 points, with Jaylen Neff adding 8. The win improved Trenton to 6-1 on the season, with the JV finale set for Friday at Lathrop (4:30 start).

On Thursday, in the Gallatin JV Tournament, the Trenton boys rolled to a 54-11 win over Maysville. Harris had 14 points and Ellis 11 for Trenton. The JV Bulldogs will play the winner between South Harrison and Galatin for the championship on Saturday. Time has not been set for that title game.
