Sports : NCMC Men Win 4th Win, Take Momentum To St. Louis

The North Central Missouri College men's basketball team is playing its best basketball of the season, having won four games in a row, including Wednesday night's 99-58 victory over the Graceland University JV.

The win improves NCMC's season record to 9-7, with a road trip to St. Louis, and a 3 o'clock game coming up on Saturday afternoon (with coverage on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.). In Wednesday's win at the Ketcham Community Center, Xavier Newson led North Central with 21 points and five rebounds, with Jamin Brandt adding 17 points and seven boards. Austin Taul and Avion Ashford both scored nine points, with Andrew Berry grabbing ten rebounds to go with four points. Jory Woodson had eight points and seven assists, with Tyrell Thirkield scoring six points to go with nine assists.

The upcoming schedule for the NCMC men, after Saturday's test in St. Louis, will have a Saturday trip to Kansas City (on February 1st) to battle the Penn Valley Scouts. That 4 o'clock game will also be broadcast on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.
