Playing some of the toughest competition they will see all season, the week has been a rough one for the Lady Hornets, with Chillicothe scoring only 20 points on Monday night in a loss (51-20) to the host Kearney Lady Bulldogs. In the consolation semifinals on Wednesday night, Chillicothe was beaten by Notre Dame Di Sion 59-44. Hannah Jones and Whitney Clampitt both scored 14 points to pace CHS in the loss to NDDS. The Lady Hornets will look to salvage at least one win from Kearney, playing MEC rival St. Joseph Lafayette in the seventh place game on Friday afternoon at 3:30. Chillicothe girl's (and boy's) will travel to Trenton High School, for a varsity doubleheader with the host Bulldogs, on Tuesday night, January 21st, in games to be carried LIVE on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.
