Each of the injured were taken to the hospital in Bethany.

Another accident in Daviess County sent two out of state residents to a hospital in Cameron.

One mile north of Eagleville, the Highway Patrol said two trucks were northbound on Interstate 35 when one of them –a tractor-trailer – struck the rear of a Missouri Department of Transportation truck that was plowing snow. The operator of the MoDOT truck, 43 year old Angela Ellis of Bethany, received what the patrol called minor injuries.

She was taken by a private vehicle to the Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany. The driver of the tractor-trailer rig, 24 year old Cody Elkins of Mabelvale, Arkansas, apparently wanot hurt.

Damage was moderate to both trucks in the accident about 2:15 yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. The drivers were using seat belts.

Just 20 minutes later, the Highway Patrol and other emergency responders were called to the
location of a single vehicle accident two miles east of Bethany. A van was traveling westbound on U-S 136 when the driver lost control on the snow-covered highway.

The report stated the vehicle ran off the south side and overturned one and a half times coming to rest on the driver's side in a ravine.

The Patrol described injuries as moderate for the driver, 44 year old Joseph Binkley of Lamoni, Iowa
AND for a passenger, 34 year old Nikie Kirk of Cainsville. Both were taken by ambulance to the
hospital in Bethany. Each were wearing seat belts. The van was demolished.

Another accident yesterday afternoon involved a car striking the rear of a truck plowing snow in Daviess County.

A Wisconsin couple, occupants of the car, were taken to the Cameron Regional Medical Center. The state patrol said the driver, 34 year old Matt Wagner and his wife, 30 year old Nicole Wagner—from Marshfield, Wisconsin – received minor injuries.

The Wagner's were traveling northbound on I-35 and following a dump truck with snow plow, driven by 54 year old Charles Leach of Cameron. He apparently was not hurt.

The accident happened six miles north of Cameron.
Damage was listed as extensive for the car and minor for the truck. All persons were using seat belts.

Due to an accident early New Year's morning in rural Macon county, a teenage girl was taken to the hospital while a male driver was later arrested.

Seventeen year old Makayla Hulett of Macon was listed in the patrol report as sustaining moderate injuries. She was taken by private vehicle to the Samaritan Hospital in Macon. The patrol listed the driver as 20-year old William Cook of Unionville who apparently was not hurt.

Cook, in a separate report, was arrested by the patrol for investigation of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. The highway patrol stated a pickup truck had been westbound on Marion Street when it skidded across Route R-A and struck an embankment.

The truck was demolished in the Wednesday morning accident, occurring one mile west of Atlanta at 1 AM.
