In the opener, the Trenton girls, in search of their third victory in a row, ran into a cold shooting night, and Gallatin took advantage with a 45-31 win. Kaitlyn Hefley led a balanced Gallatin scoring effort with 12 points, while Sara Lin contributed 11. For Trenton, junior guard McKinley Hurley had 13 points. Both teams are now 6-2 on the season. The Trenton girls are next in action on Monday night, battling the Lafayette Irish in NCMC's Holiday Hoops event at the Ketcham Community Center. The game, at 8 o'clock, will be broadcast on KTTN-FM 92.3.
