Sports : Trenton JV/Middle School Teams Find Tuesday Night Success

Trenton High School JV basketball teams and Trenton Middle School teams were in action, part of a busy night of hoops for the local teams.

The Trenton High School boys junior varsity rolled to a 53-17 victory against the Carrollton Trojans. Aaron Anderson led the Bulldogs with 12 points and 13 steals. Brice Dillon had 12 points and Spencer Harris 11. Colton Ellis and Ryan Hines both netted six points. The JV was 14 of 21 from the free throw line. The next JV boys game is at Mid-Buchanan High School on Tuesday, January 7th, with action starting at 5 o'clock.

The Trenton Middle School "A" boys won against Carrollton 25-20. Kade Ockenfels led the Bulldogs with 11 points and 5 rebounds, with Lathan Croy adding six points to go with four boards. TMS rallied with a strong fourth quarter, having trailed 17-16 after three frames.

The Trenton Middle School "A" girls won 22-17 against Carrollton. For TMS, Mykah Hurley had eight points, Ashton Whitaker five, Salem Croy four, Ainsley Tolson three, and Taylor Richman two points.

The Trenton freshman boys basketball team won at Cameron High School by a final score of 33-27. Jonathan Lamp led the Bulldogs with 13 points and 11 rebounds, with Tucker Franklin scoring eight points. The next freshman boys game will be Monday, January 13th against Princeton.
