News : Three Arrested By Grundy County Sheriff

Three arrests have been reported by the Grundy County Sheriff's Department.

Twenty-six year old Kyle James Hoyle of Carlisle, Iowa was arrested on a local warrant accusing failure to appear in Grundy County Circuit Court. Bond was set at $15,000 cash with a January 16th court date. Hoyle faces 2 counts of 2nd degree burglary and 1 count of forgery. He's accused of unlawfully entering for the alleged purpose of stealing, houses at 1301 Normal September 20th and 602 East 8th Street on September 22nd. The houses belong to Jay and Mary Ratliff and to Larry and Lana Beverlin respectively. In the forgery charge, Hoyle is accused of presenting 5 bad checks in September to various Trenton businesses with the checks purportedly issued by Carey Beverlin.

Nineteen year old Jack Richard Gathercole of Leisure Lake was arrested December 12th on a felony charge of possession a controlled, substance identified as methamphetamine. Bond is $10,000 cash.

Another Leisure Lake resident, 36 year old Michael Lee Puckett is charged with a misdemeanor of 3rd degree physical assault on a household member, Stacey Palmer. Bond for the 36 year old Puckett was set at $5000 cash.

Both Gathercole and Puckett are to appear this Thursday, December 19th in the Associate Division of the Grundy County Circuit Court.
