Just three nights after knocking Trenton from the ranks of the unbeaten, South Harrison suffered the same fate three nights later, despite a game-high 22 points from senior forward Kaylee Smith. Hunter Purdun had 14 points and Josie Williams 12 for South Harrison, now 5-1 on the season. The visitors from St. Joseph were led by 19 points from Megan Dawkins, Tyler Reid's 16, and Emily Madden with 13 points.

The South Harrison boys continue to play competitively, but are now 0-6 to start the season, after a 61-41 home loss to Bishop LeBlond. Pierce Jarrett and Jacob Modlin both scored 16 points for the Golden Eagles, with Connor Haynes scoring 12. For South Harrison, Darin Williams had 20 points, with Colton Jennings adding 10.

Other Friday night basketball scores were:

GIRLS:
King City 36, South Nodaway 31
Jefferson 40, Albany 28

BOYS:
Jefferson 61, Albany 46

The KCI Conference Tournament championship games (and boy's third place game) were postponed until Saturday night at Mid-Buchanan High School in Faucett.
