The Bishop LeBlond girls accomplished what Trenton could not, winning on the South Harrison home court against the Lady Bulldogs, 65-56 on Friday night.
Just three nights after knocking Trenton from the ranks of the unbeaten, South Harrison suffered the same fate three nights later, despite a game-high 22 points from senior forward Kaylee Smith. Hunter Purdun had 14 points and Josie Williams 12 for South Harrison, now 5-1 on the season. The visitors from St. Joseph were led by 19 points from Megan Dawkins, Tyler Reid's 16, and Emily Madden with 13 points.
The South Harrison boys continue to play competitively, but are now 0-6 to start the season, after a 61-41 home loss to Bishop LeBlond. Pierce Jarrett and Jacob Modlin both scored 16 points for the Golden Eagles, with Connor Haynes scoring 12. For South Harrison, Darin Williams had 20 points, with Colton Jennings adding 10.
