Brant Faulkner led Princeton with 29 points, while Stephan Elliott added 13. For Mercer, still looking for their first victory of the season (the Cardinals are 0-2), Kash Hartley had 16 points with Garrett Noe contributing 14. The Mercer boys are next in action on Tuesday night, playing Pattonsburg in the HDC Tournament's quarterfinal round from Jamesport.

The opener was all Mercer, with the Lady Cardinals full-court press proving to be too difficult for the Princeton Lady Tigers to handle, as Mercer improved to 2-0 with a 67-12 victory. Lindsay Wyatt paced Mercer with 21 points, with Nicole Kost adding 17, and Bailey Owens 13. Paige Phillips led the Lady Tigers with eight points. The Mercer girls will play in HDC Tournament quarterfinal action on Tuesday night at 6:15 in Jamesport. Both Princeton teams are now off until Holiday Hoops action later this month at NCMC in Trenton.
