The South Harrison Lady Bulldogs beat the Trenton Lady Bulldogs 56-48 on Tuesday night, in the front-end of a varsity basketball doubleheader from Bethany, broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3.
The game was close throughout, with poor free throw shooting by Trenton a key factor in the visitors suffering their first loss of the season. Trenton was only 2-of-8 from the line in the fourth quarter, and shot less than 50 percent for the game. South Harrison senior forward Kaylee Smith had a strong game with 25 points, while Trenton's Madi Trump scored 19 points, with McKinley Hurley adding 11.
Trenton is off until Monday night, when the Lady Bulldogs play at Plattsburg, in a 6 o'clock tipoff on Z 101.7.
Here is a REPLAY of the play-by-play of Tuesday night's girls game, with Tom Johnson on the play-by-play on KTTN-FM.

The Trenton boys won their fourth game in a row, 71-59 over South Harrison on Tuesday night. The visiting Bulldogs led throughout, but South Harrison would keep the game close, pressuring Trenton into making clutch baskets and stops in the fourth quarter to close out the contest. Chase Tolson, coming off of an MVP performance in the Gallatin Tournament last week, battled early foul trouble, but finished the game with 21 points, with Chris Kurtz adding 17, and Colton Neff and Wilson Utley ten points each for Trenton, now 4-1 on the season. South Harrison had a spectacular performance from Darin Williams, who scored 30 of his teams' 59 points.
