After falling in their first two games of the season (62-43 against LaPlata and 71-48 against Green City), the Milan boys found the win column on Friday night, ripping the Brashear Tigers 72-40 in the seventh place game. Other Novinger Tournament boys finals were: 5th Place - Green City 63, Atlanta 53; 3rd Place - Scotland County 55, LaPlata 47; 1st Place - Novinger 57, Bevier 51

The Milan girls fell to rival Green City in a tight, low-scoring third place game on Saturday afternoon, 33-32. Milan opened the tournament with a 36-33 quarterfinal win against Brashear, before falling to Atlanta in Thursday night's semifinal, 37-32. The LaPlata girls won seventh place over Brashear, 45-15. The Bevier girls won fifth place over Novinger 68-36, and the Scotland County girls downed Atlanta in the championship game 39-32.

The Milan girls and boys enter Tri-Rivers Conference play this week. The Wildcats are at Schuyler County on Tuesday night, and host Scotland County on Friday night. Friday night's games from 'The Den' will be broadcast on KTTN FM 92.3 and www.kttn.com.
