Trenton's only individual victories, against Cameron, came from Mason Mounce, by 11-3 major decision at 170 pounds (over Dustyn Dawson), and Trey Shields, by 5-4 decision over Tyler Gerber at 182 pounds.

Against Mid-Buchanan, Trenton wins came by forfeit (Daniel Rodriguez at 106, Brendon Johnson at 113, Colby Weaver at 126, Drew Rorebeck at 132, and Cole Little at 220); by pin (Thomas Mack at 160, Mason Mounce at 170, and Trey Shields at 182).

Head Coach Charlie Bacon, in provided comments, said, "We ran in to a tough Class 2 Cameron team. I thought most of our kids wrestled hard against Cameron, but we looked pretty slow to react in different situations and just out matched by our opponents. It was a hard dual to open the season with, especially for some of our kids who took the mat for the first time in their wrestling career.
Mid-Buchanan is also known for having some of the best wrestlers in the state in Class 1, but they also gave up a lot of points to opens. We lost some tough matches to some good kids, but rallied back in our mid to upper weights. Overall Mason, Trey, and Thomas had a pretty good night and looked sharp at times. Dalton Ellis also wrestled tough, but ran into two of the top ranked kids in the state. I don't feel like any of our losses were due to a lack of effort, we just have a lot of kids that are still figuring out this sport and we are going to keep working hard to better through out the season."
