Sports : Mizzou Races Past IUPUI, Heads To Vegas At 5-0

Columbia, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Jabari Brown led the way with 24 points as the Missouri Tigers defeated the IUPUI Jaguars, 78-64, in a non-conference tilt on Monday night at Mizzou Arena. Jordan Clarkson added 22 points for the Tigers (5-0), while Johnathan Williams posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

For the Jaguars (1-5), Ja'Rob McCallum finished with 14 points, Ian Chiles scored 12 points and Justus Stanback chipped in with 11 points.

Both squads were hot from the field to open the contest, with Missouri connecting on 53.1 percent shooting from the floor and IUPUI close behind with 50 percent shooting. The Tigers started the game with an 11-2 run and took a commanding lead at halftime, 47-34.

In the second half, the Jaguars struggled to find their shot, making only 39.4 percent of their field goal attempts, including just 2-of-11 from beyond the arc. The Tigers managed to shoot 47.8 percent in the half. making 4-of-8 from 3-point range to claim the win.

The Tigers outscored the Jaguars 14-5 at the free-throw line. They were also able to convert 12 Jaguar turnovers into 18 points.
