Accidents : Five Injured In Accident Near Pattonsburg

Five persons, including two from Eagleville, were injured last night in an accident on an icy Interstate 35 , two miles south of Pattonsburg.

The highway patrol reports 20 year old Karmen Bell and 20 year old Kimberly Bell from Eagleville were taken by ambulance to Harrison county community hospital in Bethany. Three Plattsburg residents in a second car went by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. They were 40 year old Lori Neely, 43 year old Danielle Post, and 14 year old Jayd Hicus. The state patrol described injuries as minor for all five persons.

The report shows two cars were southbound when the one driven by Lori Neely went out of controlled on an icy I-35 and struck a bridge rail. The car driven by Karmen Bell was following, and struck the rear of the Neely vehicle. Both cars came to controlled stops. Both were extensively damaged. All persons were using seat belts in the wreck that happened at 10:25 last night in Daviess County.
