News : Spickard Board Of Ed Sets Filing Dates For Election

Candidate filing period has been established for the Spickard R-2 Board of Education subject to the April 8th election.

Candidates seeking a three year term can file at the school office from December 17th through January 21st.

Hours the main office is open are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The school office at
Spickard will close at 1 o'clock December 20th and re-open at 8 -am on January 6th.

Terms up for re-election are those of Lindsay Glenn, Roger Bonnett, and the one held
by Amanda Coffman that remains vacant. With the recent death of Bob Darby of
Spickard, there are two board member vacancies. HE was on an Unexpired term.

Administrator Mike Garrett reported the Winter Music Concert will be on Tuesday December 10th at 7:00 pm. He also announced that the teachers will bereceiving a reward for the MAP test from last year. They will be given a spa afternoon.

The calendar was discussed with activities planned for Tuesday November 26th in the morning with the parent teachers organization and a 1 o'clock dismissal.

December 19th will include P-T-O crafts and activities in the morning; class parties in the
afternoon. December 20th will include an all school movie and a visit by Santa.

Both of those December days will have an early dismissal at 1 o'clock. .
