For the Tigers (3-0), Jordan Clarkson added 13 points, Earnest Ross scored 12 points and Tony Criswell chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Christian Standhardinger led the Rainbow Warriors (2-2) with 22 points, while Garrett Nevels added 17 points, Keith Shamburger dropped in 12 points and Brandon Spearman scored 11 points.

Despite shooting just 41.9 percent from the field and allowing the Tigers to connect on 58.1 percent of their shots from the floor in the first half, the Rainbow Warriors led at halftime, 46-45. That was due in large part to a 16-6 scoring advantage at the free-throw line.

The teams continued their shooting performances from the first half after intermission. Missouri drained 57.1 percent of its field goal attempts in the half while Hawaii again struggled from the floor, making just 41.7 percent of its field goal tries in the second. The Tigers opened the half on an 11-2 run over the first three minutes of the period and never trailed again.

Missouri had a decided advantage in the frontcourt, outscoring Hawaii 56-36 in the paint and outrebounding the Rainbow Warriors 44-30. The Tiger got more production from their bench as well, with their reserves outscoring those from Hawaii, 28-11.
