News : Cases Heard In Associate Division Of Grundy County

46-year old Moses Miranda of Chillicothe waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 of Grundy County Circuit Court on charges accusing him with 1st degree burglary and stealing.

Miranda is accused on September 17th of unlawfully entering structures owned by Delbert and Martha Jackson near Galt and Josh and Jill Eaton in rural Trenton for the purpose of stealing. Miranda was accused of being armed with a deadly weapon while allegedly being in those structures.

Miranda, in the stealing charges---also on September 17th-- is accused of taking guns, jewelry, money, electronics, knives, and household items owned by the Jacksons and Eatons.

21-year old Colton Matthews of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing in Associate Division and was bound over to Division 1 of Circuit Court. Matthews is charged with
2nd degree burglary and 1st degree tampering with motor vehicles.

Matthews is accused of unlawfully entering a building at Trenton owned by Jack McNabb Jr. for the purpose of stealing. Matthews also is accused of unlawfully operating 2 4 wheelers and a dirt bike---all on October 10th.

22 year old Evan Collins of Meadville waived a preliminary hearing in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court and was bound over to Division 1.

Collins is accused of conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to tamper with motor vehicles— on October 10th.

Collins is accused of agreeing with others that 1 or more of them would enter and unlawfully remain in a structure at Trenton---and that one or more of them entered the structure and stole 2 4 wheelers and a dirt bike owned by Jack McNabb Jr.

Collins also was accused agreeing with others that 1 or more of them would unlawfully operate the 4 wheelers and the dirt bike---and that 1 or more of them did operate them.


50 year old James Bradley Drake of Warrensburg waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division one of Grundy County Circuit Court on charges accusing him with 2nd degree burglary and stealing.

Drake is accused, in late 2011, of burglary at the property of James Vencill Drake and Mary Drake near Brimson for the purpose of stealing. James Bradley Drake is accused of stealing 2 flat screen televisions---and then about 2 days later---stealing appliances and a sofa owned by James Vencill Drake and Mary Drake.

30 year old Nicole Webster of rural Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1. She's accused of possessing morphine October 2nd.

45 year old David Wilson of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1on a charge accusing him with fraudulent use of a debit device last month to obtain cash and make purchases.

29 year old Cassandra Brewer of Trenton waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1on a charge accusing her with passing a check on a non-existent bank account.

64 year old John Rick of Spickard waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Division 1 on a charge accusing him with driving while intoxicated. The charge says Rick has two prior convictions---1 in 1984 and the other in 1985.
