A resident of Mercer, 23 year old Tyler Hinshaw, was sentenced to prison during an appearance this week in Division one of Mercer County Circuit Court.
Hinshaw last month pleaded guilty to four felony charges in Mercer county. One of them was for his April 7th escape from the Mercer County Jail where he struck another person during his getaway. Three months later, (in July) Hinshaw was arrested in the state of California; then returned to Princeton to face the additional charges.
On April charges of escape from confinement and tampering with a motor vehicle, Hinshaw was sentenced to seven years with Department of Corrections. On previous charges of second degree burglary and felony theft from January, Hinshaw was sentenced to a term of six years with the corrections department. On-line court records show Hinshaw is required to make restitution of 480 dollars.
Among other cases in the Mercer County Circuit Court, 65 year old Eugene Pattie Junior of Marshall—through his attorney--requested a continuance. The request was granted and the cases were re-set for December 11th.
Pattie, a former Trenton resident, is held in jail at Princeton without bond on seven felony counts from incidents at Mercer last May 10th involving a couple: Dave Neimeyer who had been shot, and his wife Ginny, who had been assaulted.
