The roller-coaster recruitment of DeSmet High School offensive tackle Andy Bauer had yet another twist and turn on Monday morning, with the high school senior announcing (via Twitter) his re-commitment to the University of Missouri.

Bauer, during his sophomore year in 2011, committed to the Missouri program, but after the Tigers 5-7 record in 2012, he reopened his recruitment, and subsequently gave a verbal pledge to the University of Mississippi. On Monday, Bauer chose to come back to his home-state school. It is believed that it was not the 5-7 season, but rather the questions about the job status of Head Coach Gary Pinkel, that caused Bauer to get cold feet over Mizzou. This year's 8-1 start helped to solidify Pinkel's job security at MU.

Bauer is a 6 foot, 6 inch, 304 pound prospect, rated by Rivals.com as the top prospect in Missouri for the Class of 2014. He is the 11th ranked offensive tackle across the country and the 105th highest-ranked recruit overall.
