The highway patrol described injuries as minor for 34 year old Jennifer Canchola. She was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The state patrol said Ms. Canchola was northbound on Interstate 35 when her car hydroplaned on the wet highway and spun off the road where it struck a ditch, went up an embankment and overturned. Extensive damage was noted to the car.

There was another accident on Interstate 35 in Daviess county five miles northwest of Altamont, involving injuries to a woman from Phili, Wisconsin. 78 year old Beulah Zoutendan was moderately injured and taken to the Liberty Hospital

The state patrol said a southbound car was pulling a one wheel trailer when the trailer malfunctioned causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle went into the median, returned to the road, going off the opposite side where it overturned onto its top and was demolished.

Drivers in both I-35 accidents were using seat belts.
