After Marceline opened the scoring on a first-quarter touchdown run (missing the two-point conversion), Trenton knotted the score on a 27-yard run by Lamp in the second quarter. The two-point conversion failed, leaving the score tied at 6. The Bulldogs took the lead into halftime on the strength of an 8 yard scoring run by Shulder, and the two point conversion run by Lamp.

Trailing 14-6 going into the fourth quarter, the host Tigers tied the game on a one yard touchdown run and two-point conversion. Lamp got loose with 2:30 to go in the game however, scoring on a 58-yard run for the Bulldogs. The two point conversion failed, leaving the score 20-14.

Connor Cotton clinched the win for the JV Bulldogs with an interception at the 18-yard line with 32 seconds remaining in the game. Coach Greg Dalyrmple said afterwards, "Our defense played one of their best games of the year. Our kids played well. It seemed like whenever we needed a play someone stepped up and made a play". The win finishes the season for the Trenton High School JV Bulldogs.
