Humphrey is to use traditional blacksmith tools and a coal-fired forge.

The blacksmith demonstration is Saturday afternoon at 2:30 in the courtyard area of the Grundy County Museum. The museum says children are welcome.

All 3 buildings at the museum campus are to be open from 2 until 5 o'clock. Admission is $2 for adults. Youths under age 13 get in free. So do active service members and their families.

The public is reminded there only are a few days remaining to see the museum exhibit called Grown in Grundy County. It closes closes October 21st after the Missouri Day Festival weekend.
