News : Chili Cook-Off Results

The 5 Points Chili Cook-off in downtown Trenton Saturday had 15 entries in the Chili Appreciation Society International division called CASI, 5 home-style entries, and 1 in the business category.

There were 22 entries in the pie baking contest Saturday at Trenton.

The Judge's Choice awards were Charlene Smith 1st, Kathryn Morrison 2nd, and Janet Huffstutter 3rd.

The People's Choice honors in the pie baking judging were Rhonda Chaverri 1st, Chrystal Whitaker 2nd, and Barb Peterson 3rd. All of those top 3 finishers in the pie baking contest are from Trenton.

The chili and pie events were sponsored by the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Trenton Police Department. About $900 was raised. It's to be divided between the Chamber and the Police Department.
