Sports : Trenton Volleyball Loses Tight Battle At East Buchanan

The Trenton Lady Bulldogs lost in the third set by three points to the host East Buchanan Lady Bulldogs, ending Trenton's brief winning streak at two.

The final score in the match in Gower was 25-17, 23-25, 25-22 in favor of East Buchanan. Trenton was led by senior Courtney Weyer with 10 kills, with Alex Ewald adding 24 digs, 11 assists, and three aces; Hayley Mathews three aces, and Lakisha Hughs and Bekah Wiggins both with one solo block and one block assist.

East Buchanan had Kristen King with three kills, Shelby Rhoads with a block, Mariah Aebersold with three assists, and McKenna Holsworth with ten digs.

Trenton has the rest of this week off. The Lady Bulldogs will host Chillicothe on Monday (10/7) and Lathrop on Tuesday (10/8).

The Trenton JV, at East Buchanan, was beaten by a final of 25-15, 25-20. Lyric Nolan had six aces and five kills, Nikki Hagan three assists, and Morganne Farmer four digs for THS.
